Fundraiser at Frankie's Pub

Last Saturday night's raffle and Chinese auction held at Frankie's Pub in Eastlake was a huge HUGE success. Carol was able to raise all the money she needed to walk in this one event. Great job Carol getting everyone out and kudos to Maria who provided plenty of assistance. Most of all a huge thank you to everyone who came out to support the walk. As you can see fundraising can be lots of fun too!!!

3 Day Training Event at Aurora Farms

Angela, Maria and I met bright and early last Saturday morning to walk 10 miles around Aurora Farms. This was an official 3Day Training event and there were about 12 of us walking. It was amazing how fast the 10 miles went by. It makes such a huge difference when you have people talking and laughing. We even had a few crew members cheering us on; blowing bubbles, waving signs, handing out stickers and suckers. It was a little taste of things to come. When we were done with the official walk we were treated with a VIP shopping package filled with coupons for the shops. This of course gave us all the incentive we needed to add an 11th mile (of shopping)!

June 27th and 28th:
I found a back to back walk in Chardon (my old stomping grounds!) that I signed up for. On June 27th it's 18 miles from 10a - 3pm and on June 28th 15 miles from 10a - 3pm. There are about 90 slots left for these 2 walks so if you would like to join me in Chardon.....go to the website and RSVP before they fill up!

May 30th:
Angela and I also registered for the 3 Day Expo on May 30th in Independence from 11a - 2p. If you are interested, you will also need to RSVP for this event and they will email you the admission ticket.

Trying to muster up the energy to get a decent walk in today despite the fact that it's cold and windy! Hoping you are all doing well!

OMG!!! Only 94 Days Left

I just signed in to post this and noticed the little counter thingy says we only have 94 days left!!! WOW!
Angela and I participated in a 3 day led 10 mile training walk yesterday through the streets of Hudson and had a great time!! Our walk leader, Kevin, took some pics of all of us in front of the Pink Ribbon Guitar and the Cupcake Store....we were treated at the 5 mile mark with a free cupcake and coffee!! The best I've ever had! Sadly, The girls that run the shop lost their mother to breast cancer a few months ago and they sent us much heartfelt support and thanks for our efforts!

ROCKING WALKERS!
